Speed sensor readings can be affected by prolonged riding or lack of cleaning. Mud and debris buildup on the sensor can interfere with its ability to register speed.
Troubleshooting: Thoroughly clean the speed sensor and the area around it (often located near the rear wheel/chainstay). Ensure the speed sensor magnet is correctly positioned. If the speed sensor still has issues after cleaning, it’s best to book a workshop appointment for further inspection.
We specialise in servicing e-bikes equipped with the following systems: Bosch Shimano, TQ, Fazua, DJI Avinox and Mahle.
We have established relationships with these brands, allowing us direct access to their parts, labor, and expertise. This ensures we provide the highest quality service for these e-bike systems. Unfortunately, we cannot service e-bike systems outside of these brands due to limitations in accessing parts and expertise. This is in the best interest of our customers, ensuring we can provide reliable and effective repairs. Please note that we can still service general mechanical issues on e-bikes with other systems, provided the problem is not related to the electrical components.
We can fit and wire various components to your E-Bike – depending on the component and the components compatibility… the most commom are displays and lights. Displays are typically only compatible with systems within their own ecosystem, such as the ‘Bosch Smart System’ or ‘Shimano Steps’. This display guide chart compares all of the various displays from the brands we retail to show the compatibility for each.
Lights can either work with a external battery or wire straight into your e-bikes motor. Many ebike systems feature toggles and switches to engage the lights wired into the motor. Again this depends on the system and light so its best to contact us and speak to a mechanic to determine wether your electric bike is compatible with the light you desire to fit.
Sram AXS – these wireless drivetrains (provided they dont have an external battery pack) are typically compatible with; Bosch, TQ, Fazua and AmFlow motors. Please let our mechanics know which model of Sram AXS and electric bike you have before booking in for fitment.
Shimano Di2 drivetrains are only compatible with Shimano motors, and again please inform our mechanics before booking in for a fitment, of both the model of e-bike and drivetrain which requires fitting
Unusual noises are a common occurrence in mountain biking, often caused by worn or loose components. If you contact one of our mechanics, we would be pleased to discuss the best approach for diagnosing and resolving the issue.
