At MTB Monster we understand just how exciting getting a new bike is and we want to make sure everything is perfect for you on the day you receive your bike, which is why we take so much care when assembling each order.
Please see the outline below of our processes, should you have any questions or need anything extra please get in touch and we will be happy to assist you.

1.
Your new bike is prepared by our team of qualified mechanics to the highest standard to ensure that it arrives with you safe and ready to ride.
Before any bike leaves our store, our mechanics complete a rigorous 26-point Pre Delivery Inspection Check (PDI).
Furthermore with all electric bikes they pass through an
additional 9 ebike specific checks including diagnostics check and software update.

2.
Bikes are carefully protected for transit with a mix of both bubble wrap and recycled packaging which is held in place using masking tape.
This means there is no need to use a sharp implement and risk damaging your bike when unpackaging.

3.
Packaged alongside your bike, you will find the parts box. In here is the PDI checklist which shows all the checks that the mechanics have completed along with a sheet entitled ‘Important Information’.
This details necessary ongoing checks that should be carried out to ensure your bike is safe and performs in the best possible way
when ridden.
We also include the allen keys required to refit your bikes handlebar along with any manufacturer manuals, reflectors and a bell.
Electric bikes are always delivered with a charger, UK plug and any relevant manufacturer manuals.

.
To package your bike safely, we remove the handlebars, front wheel and then wrap the bike in a generous layer of both bubble wrap and recycled packaging to offer the best protection possible during transit.
The handlebars, front wheel can be quickly refitted on arrival. We estimate that it will take around 5-10 minutes once you have
unpackaged your bike to have it ready to ride.

At MTB Monster we’re committed to lowering our impact on the environment and to help with this, our workshop often reuses sturdy boxes to that are in good condition to send new bikes out in.
Please Note – Not all bikes are supplied with pedals, please see the specification of your chosen model for the details.
Why is professional bike preparation and inspection important before delivery?
Professional preparation ensures your bike arrives safe, correctly set up and ready to ride. We check torque settings, gear indexing, brake alignment and suspension configuration details that make a big difference to performance, reliability and rider confidence.
This goes beyond a simple box check and aligns with manufacturer recommendations so your bike performs as intended from the first ride.
What comes in the box with my bike?
Inside your bike box you’ll find all the tools needed for final assembly, any included accessories (e.g. manuals, chargers on e-bikes), and a checklist summarising the preparation steps we’ve completed.
This means you should be able to assemble the bike in a few minutes and ride straight away.
Why do you remove the handlebars and front wheel for packaging?
Removing the handlebars and front wheel reduces volume and prevents stress on cables, forks and contact points during transit. It also allows us to position the bike in the safest orientation inside the box, reducing the risk of damage.
Where can I find a bike shop that packages bikes properly for delivery?
Choosing the right bike shop for delivery comes down to preparation standards, packaging quality and how the bike is handled once it leaves the workshop. At MTB Bros, every bike is fully built and inspected by Cytech-qualified mechanics before being carefully re-packaged for transport, rather than simply shipped in a factory box.
Frames and key components are individually protected using a combination of bubble wrap, protective foam and recycled packaging materials, with contact points secured to prevent movement in transit.
Bikes are dispatched using a professional two-person courier service, ensuring safe lifting and careful handling from collection through to delivery. This structured approach means customers can be confident their bike arrives in excellent condition, correctly prepared and ready to ride.
